Every time I visit this lovely family, it just gets better. I hadn’t been to visit them since little Finley was born 5 months ago, so we photographed another session as her personality is starting to shine!
Judd is such a good big brother, and is already teaching Finley new things. When he “signs” her name it would melt anyone’s heart. He loves her.
Enjoy these beautiful in-home shots photographed in their Giant Farmhouse in Ruskin, NE.
Sisters : Disneyland
Meet Angela and her two sisters Mel and Lynsey.
The bride-to-be invited me to Disneyland to celebrate her two sisters being in town and her last days before becoming a bride. Complete with bridal Mickey ears passed down from a friend, Angela was decked out "Disney."
Spending the day with these ladies was a treat. Of COURSE I am going to say yes to a day at the "happiest place on earth" with my camera in hand and great company.
Hunley : 1 year
This sweet little girl turned One and her mom invited me to photograph her on her first birthday party morning. Watching her grow and two of my best friends rock parenthood is an amazing thing. Hunley is absolutely stunning and perfect.
Throughout this whole series, my favorites are simply the photos of Hunley looking out the window. I told her to "see if her birthday guests have arrived yet." Her response was perfect.
Happy birthday to this little Honey Bee.
Meet the Shayla, Brandon and their daughter Hanna.
Their little family of 3 will soon be growing as they are expecting a little one this early May. This session was a little chilly, but totally worth it!
I asked Shayla what she is looking forward to most when the new babe arrives and she answered in a perfect way.
"Falling in love with a new bundle of joy again and getting to help Hanna experience that as well as she gains a brother & a new best friend. Meeting your baby and loving them instantly is the best feeling & now Hanna gets to see that as well."
Enjoy these intimate maternity photos!
Presley + Ryan
Meet Presley and Ryan.
These two sisters are the sweetest. Even though I have known Presley for a near 4 years and her little sister Ryan for over a year, I interviewed their mommy Kylee after we took these studio photos, because well, mother knows best. I asked her to describe each girl in one word and elaborate on it.
Her favorite thing: She doesn’t leave the house without a ballet tutu on as she is always practicing her twirls. Being her mom has allowed me to feel what true love is. She reminds me to be simple, kind, and humble.
Her favorite thing: She loves being silly and finding new things to climb on to see how high she can get while causing mom anxiety. She holds true to the saying “laughter is the best medicine.” Ryan brings so much excitement, joy and laughter to my life.
Meet the Collins Family.
Sarah and Corey just became new parents to little Henry. Their in-home session was so comfortable and fun. I loved meeting them and their little family.
"The best part of being a new parent is the overwhelming sense of love you feel. I know it's cliche, but it's not just the love you have for your child (while that is a huge part of it) it's all of the love that pours in from others. Family, friends, co-workers and total strangers send their love from near and far for your family. We were in the NICU with Henry and I felt even more love as former NICU parents reached out with advice and support. Being a new parent is experiencing the most beautiful part of human existence."
Mercedes Barry : Maternity
This mommy-to-be is a beauty and a half. Her daughter Renegade Wave will arrive soon and make this mommy a first timer.
"I’m ready to just hold her, love on her and see what she looks like. I want to hear her cry, and get to know her personality. It's like she’s already my best friend, because we do everything together, but I have so much to learn about her." -Mercedes Barry
Meet Emily, Patrick and little Xander.
This little Nebraska family is the sweetest. I went to college with Emily, and we have stayed great friends over the years. She was brave enough to hire me for her wedding the very first season I was photographing them 5 years ago. Since then, I have been taking pictures of her growing family.
Little Xander just turned six months, so we celebrated with a little in-home session. I showed up on the right day because he was a little showoff the entire time. In one afternoon, he learned to sit up on his own, his mommy found 2 teeth coming in while bottle feeding, and he ate his first helping of "big kid" food. Peas. (He wasn't too hot on them but took it like a champ.)
I showed up at their retro home in Omaha, NE to hang out and photograph this adorable little family and their Golden Retriever Bippy. We drank Moscow Mules and made this shoot very comfortable in their own home. The white walls and bright decor give this session a "Modern Family" type of feel.
Meet this beautiful family. I photographed this session last fall, and the colors, light, and laughter brought this shoot to LIFE.
Location: Pioneers Park Lincoln, NE
When I arrived at their home in Los Angeles, we decided to keep this shoot organic, right from home. I photographed the family "being themselves." We danced in the kitchen, played in a teepee, and listened to their favorite Disney music. Simple....life is good.
I took this black and white brick wall and did an entire session in front of it. Sometimes you don't need an extravagant background to make your photos "pop." All I needed here was an adorable little model and an awesome leather jacket. Meet Mila, my favorite little "neice." She's 3. Whatttt.
I was GUSHING this entire shoot. Too much cuteness in one shoot if you ask me! The girls were so cooperative and loved posing for me. I enjoyed spending an afternoon with them! Check out that GOLDEN light though!
